She nearly dropped the black bottle whose contents she was pouring into the balsamic vinegar when Homer burst into the kitchen.
“Honey! I’m home,” he said.
With a peck on his cheek, she seated him at the table and served him the turkey salad she made, left over from the previous night’s Thanksgiving dinner.
After a bite, he said, “Oh my God, Honey! This is so delicious! Where did you get this recipe? What did you put in it? I could just die eating this!”
With a sly smile, she tapped his shoulders and said, “I made sure of that.”
